OVERVIEWTOP STORIESFACILITIESEVENTS CALENDARVIDEOS

Located just off the beaten path in central Willamette Valley wine country, Youngberg Hill rises to the expectations of those seeking wines that speak to the land where they were born.

Founded in 1989, the spectacular estate was purchased by the Bailey family in 2003. They went straight to work transforming vineyard farming and winemaking practices, and two years later, Youngberg Hill had earned certified LIVE and Salmon Safe status. Today, the entire estate is organically farmed and is well on its way to being 100 percent sustainable.

“We want to create the very best wine that expresses the terroir and beauty of the vineyard in every bottle of wine,” Wayne explains. The vineyard has a total of 20 acres of Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. Since Youngberg Hill lies just 25 miles from the ocean, it benefits from cool, steady temperatures that yield high-quality fruit with rich, intense flavors; earthy minerality; structure; and complexity.

Although one can certainly appreciate the uniqueness of Youngberg Hill in its delightful portfolio, ranging from the crisp aspen Pinot Gris, to the lush, round Jordan Pinot Noir, nothing surpasses a visit to the tasting room, found on the ground floor of the magnificent Youngberg Hill Inn.

The eight-room inn stands like a beacon at the top of Youngberg Hill, overlooking 20 acres of vines and a vista view that stretches for miles. It houses four king suites and four queen guest rooms—all luxuriously appointed with private ensuite baths, antique furnishings, and plenty of windows. The grounds offer plenty of ideal spots to sit and take in the glorious view, enjoy a sunset, or—with a little planning—get married. Youngberg Hill specializes in exclusive, romantic, and personalized weddings and elopements.

Whether visiting the tasting room, staying at the inn, or uncorking a bottle, the natural beauty of Youngberg Hill is something to behold, inhale, and savor.
