TOURING & TASTING in Southern California and Temecula
The Southern California region begins just NORTH OF MALIBU and stretches all the way down to San Diego. Head for the beach and watch the SURFERS. Stroll along Santa Monica Pier. Head east on I-10 to CUCAMONGA VALLEY, one of California’s first wine countries. Over a dozen wineries are waiting down in Temecula Valley. For a change of pace, PLAY IN THE MUD and sparkling mineral pools at a hot springs spa. Or RELAX with a hot-stone massage. Craving nature? Explore nearby Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, home to BIGHORN SHEEP, desert fox, and 500 miles of winding roads.
Temecula Valley Touring Temecula Valley is easy because nearly all of the wineries here—ranging from small and charming to large and elegant—are located close to each other. Nearly two dozen wineries call Temecula Valley home. Heading east on Rancho California from I-15, you’ll begin to see wineries in about five miles. There will be wineries on both sides of the road, plus Anza and De Portola Roads.
