To the delight of Zinfandel lovers in northern Sonoma wine country, Rosenblum Cellars has returned and is enjoying a warm, wonderful homecoming in the charming town of Healdsburg. Known far and wide for fabulous Zinfandel, the popular winery opened its dynamic new tasting room just off the town’s main square.
Founded in 1978 in a dockyard winery and tasting room in Alameda, Rosenblum Cellars has been a hit with Zinfandel lovers for more than 25 years. It has evolved into one of California’s top producers of Zinfandel and Rhône-style wines. Each vintage boasts more than 20 different types of Zinfandel including some of the highest rated, most-awarded Zinfandels from California’s most highly regarded vineyards. The Rosenblum portfolio also includes Syrah, Grenache, Roussanne, Viognier, Marsanne, and Petite Sirah.
“It’s great to be back on the square!” says Winemaker John Kane. “There’s a buzz on the street and the locals are such wine enthusiasts.”
Over the past few years, Healdsburg has indeed evolved into a delightful environment for wine exploration in northern Sonoma County. The new Rosenblum tasting room is designed to contribute further, by providing its customers more than just samples of its exceptional wines. In fact, the tasting room is better described as a chic and inviting lounge where locals, visitors, and wine club members can experience great wines and settle in for a while. Besides the primary tasting room, there’s an event and educational space, an exclusive Club and Locals Lounge plus an outdoor patio with comfortable sofas for sunny days and cozy evenings. Currently, the space is abuzz with guests eager to sample the winery’s many Zins and other offerings by the flight. In the future, there will be even more exciting reasons to visit, including sassy wine-based cocktails, food and wine pairings, seminars with local growers, artists and frequent special events. Most importantly, Rosenblum’s stellar portfolio has come to Healdsburg and lovers of stellar Zinfandel couldn’t be happier.
