Exceptional Hospitality

Woodbridge By Robert Mondavi

Surrounded by vineyards as far as the eye can see, this tasting room has artisan cheeses and deli meats to enjoy at the pleasing picnic grounds.

LangeTwins Family Winery and Vineyards

Tucked beneath a giant elevated crush pad, The Press Room gives guests a view of the working winery while they sample the wines and chat with friendly folks (usually family members) working behind the redwood tasting bar.

Harney Lane Winery

The tasting room has a lovely selection of creative wine- and food-related gifts. A fire pit surrounded by a ring of Adirondack chairs awaits outside. The owners never seem too rushed or busy for a short chat.

Peltier Winery & Vineyards

We love the attitude at this familyowned winery and custom crush facility. They created a pop-up tasting room so people can share the excitement— and sometimes drama— of building a new winemaking facility.

Lodi Wine & Visitor Center

Lodi knows how to get wine tourists off on the right foot with a map and a tasting bar that pours eight regional wines at a time. The tasting bar staff is welcoming and quite well-versed in Lodi wine.

Lodi Vintners

This amiable winery is a popular place for get-togethers and fun events like dinner and movie nights. Parties are imaginative and the seminars have a nice vibe, too.

Van Ruiten Family Winery

A genuine staff who encourage guests to sample the wines at a relaxed pace put this winery on our list. The wine-themed gifts are fun, too.

Impressive Portfolios

Acquiesce Winery & Vineyards

The wines in this portfolio are as exquisite as their French bottles. They’re big medal winners too. Lovely aromatics and balance. This is Lodi’s only “white only” producer.

Bokisch Vineyards

From the Albariño to the Zinfandel, this winery certainly does have an exciting lineup. Primarily Spanish varietals, the wines are reminiscent of the summers Winemaker Markus Bokisch spent in his youth on the Spanish Mediterranean Coast.

Klinker Brick Winery

With the goal of producing standout world-class wine, the Felten family started with one knockout Old Vine Zinfandel in 2000. They continue to reset the bar with three styles of Zin plus Syrah, Cabernet, and Albariño.

Oak Ridge Winery

The oldest operating winery in Lodi has several labels to explore. OZV wines are from gnarled old vines, Silk Oak wines are soft, medium-bodied wines, and that’s only the beginning.

Fields Family Estates

The wonderful list of offerings runs the gambit from elegant Grenache Blanc, Vermentino, and Cinsault to bigger reds such as Lodi’s first Super Tuscan inspired Italian blend, a complex Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre (GSM), and a robust Cabernet Sauvignon.

Scotto Cellars

Across the board, these wines have character. They have good structure, balance, and soft tannins. Around two dozen labels are produced by this winery including several delicious dessert and specialty wines.

Imaginative Events

Mettler Family Vineyards

Family Vineyards Painting parties with Painted Cellars are a regular event at this beautifully landscaped winery. Participants enjoy the wines as they follow step-by-step instructions.

Estate Crush

This custom crush facility offers barrel tasting tours, seminars, and live music nights. The tasting room features 16 wines at a time, so tasting is an event in itself.

Heritage Oak Winery

Fun and informative bird walks with a local birding expert include strolling through portions of vineyards, along the Mokelumne River bank, and across riparian woodland.

McCay Cellars

The winery’s cycling club meets one Saturday each month for a ride through wine country. Club members “wine down” afterward in the tasting room.

Lodi Wine Social

Two boutique wineries, Six Hands and Sorelle, have created this cool venue offering karaoke nights, small plate appetizers, and gourmet paninis.
