B Cellars Winery's Steak Salad With Meyer Lemon and Blue Cheese Vinaigrette

Fire up the grill and open a bold, structured red wine, like the B Cellars Petit Sirah. Blue cheese is a wonderful complement to both steak and sweet, ripe pears.

INGREDIENTS

1/2  pound sirloin steak
1/3 cup squeezed Meyer lemon
1/2; cup olive oil
1
1/2 cups crumbled blue cheese

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

2 cups chopped romaine

1 cup chopped oak leaf lettuce

1 pear chopped*
 *After chopping pear, pour lemon juice on top to stop from browning.

DIRECTIONS

Cook the steak to medium rare and let rest 10 minutes before slicing. Puree lemon juice, olive oil, blue cheese and black pepper. Put the two lettuces and pear into a large serving bowl and dress with the vinaigrette. Top with sliced steak.
