Located halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, the Paso Robles wine region has become an ideal destination for wine lovers wishing to get away and discover truly exceptional wine. Happily, Paso Robles has a remarkable number of intimate bed and breakfasts and inns nestled right in the vineyards! Here are several to consider, offering a range of rewarding experiences among the vines.

Chanticleer Vineyard Bed & Breakfast
Nestled in the vineyards just off Highway 46 West, this sweet country B&B provides three private suites and a renovated two-story barn that serves as an entertainment center. The vineyards, where guests are welcome to stroll, grow the wine grapes for neighboring Grey Wolf Cellars. The husband/wife owners live on site and pamper their guests daily with exceptional homemade breakfasts and romantic touches like plush robes and complimentary wine upon arrival.

Comus House at Denner
Designed by architect John Robert Mitchell, Comus House provides four private bedrooms in a modern, spacious home. The living room features cathedral windows, an inviting fireplace, and access to a wood porch with plenty of space for outdoor lounging. Although this beautiful building feels like a home, it is run as a bed and breakfast, complete with delightful European-style breakfasts and afternoon wine tastings served in a group setting.

HammerSky Vineyards & Inn
This stunning restored 107-year-old farmhouse sits like a beacon in the heart of West Paso Robles wine country. Most suitable for a family or group of couples or close friends, it offers four bedrooms, two baths, an elegant dining room, a relaxing family room, and an inspiring gourmet kitchen. Outside there are inviting sitting areas, a barbecue, a rustic barn used for special events, and acres of vineyards to explore. The tasting room is also located on the property.

Honey Oak House at Laraneta Vineyards
This cozy bed and breakfast gives guests the feeling of what it’s like to live in a Paso Robles farm home. Its owners, Melinda and Joe Laraneta, are hands-on farmers who work in their own vineyards and olive orchard. They offer three guestrooms, each with a private porch. The gourmet kitchen is a natural gathering place for everyone. Each morning, a gourmet breakfast is served.

Situated on the grounds of JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery, JUST Inn features four accommodations: three premium suites near the tasting room and award-winning restaurant, and a 1,400-square-foot French country villa located atop the working winery building. The suites have all been named after separate JUSTIN proprietary blends to demonstrate their ultimate level of style and luxury. A warm breakfast is delivered to guests in their rooms each morning.

The Inn at Croad Vineyards
This lovely new inn offers resplendent vista views in all directions. Its spacious New Zealand–inspired guestrooms are beautifully decorated and appointed with king-size beds and mini refrigerators. Each room boasts a singular view of the vineyards and the surrounding rolling hills. To literally top it off, an exterior staircase leads to an upstairs balcony that allows guests to see for miles. The Inn at Opolo
Located just a few steps from the Opolo Vineyards tasting room, The Inn at Opolo features three private suites with access to a spacious front balcony for impromptu sunset toasts. Each suite is unique, offering king-size beds and remote-controlled fireplaces. Two suites provide couple’s bathtubs, while the third has a couple’s shower. A common Mediterranean kitchen is available to all inn guests 24/7, plus there’s an outdoor dining area, a bocce court, and vineyard walking paths to enjoy.

SummerWood Winery & Inn
This lovely nine-suite inn recently underwent a renovation and reopened last fall. There’s a captivating fireplace in the grand living room as well as each guest room. The guest rooms also have nicely appointed bathrooms and private balconies overlooking the estate. The inn has its own executive chef who works with her team in an open-air demonstration kitchen where they prepare wonderful breakfasts, hors d’oeuvres, and tempting desserts daily.

Venteux Vineyards Bed & Breakfast
This charming winery’s American farmhouse residence offers one quiet and cozy bedroom suite, with a luxurious private bathroom and a door that leads to a private porch, tucked around the corner from the main entrance. Guests enjoy home-cooked breakfasts and seated tastings in a beautifully appointed dining area and private wine bar. There’s also a newly remodeled three-bedroom guest house on the property with a large gourmet kitchen, full dining room, and a comfortable family room ideal for groups of couples or a family; and two new private guest suites above the winery.

Wild Coyote Estate Winery Bed & Breakfast
With architecture and landscape inspired by the Taos Pueblo Native American reservation in New Mexico, this aesthetically pleasing bed and breakfast provides panoramic views of the winery’s vineyards and the Santa Lucia Mountains. Although each of the five guest casitas is delightfully private, there’s a common back courtyard that invites socialization when desired.
