For more than 25 years, Rosenblum Cellars has been a hit with Zinfandel lovers. Founded by Kent Rosenblum, it is now one of California’s top producers of Zinfandel and Rhône-style wines. Each year, the Rosenblum portfolio astounds wine enthusiasts with release upon release of more than 20 exciting types of Zinfandel. The wines are met with praise for their distinctive qualities and routinely rewarded by critics and judges with high praise, points, and medals.
Last year, Rosenblum Cellars moved its urban East Bay tasting room to Jack London Square, adjacent to the Oakland Ferry Terminal. This new location has quickly become a gathering place for the winery’s many loyal followers who live and work in the San Francisco Bay area. Set amidst a wealth of new food and entertainment options, the Rosenblum tasting room offers a sophisticated rustic contemporary vibe with concrete floors, wood and steel furnishings, and floor-to-ceiling windows that show off the fabulous view of the bay. Guests find a spot along the main tasting bar or slip over to the adjacent room where Reserve wines are poured. They can also go outside and sit at a table for an impromptu seated tasting or wine by the bottle or glass. With more than 20 Zinfindels and many other great wines in the portfolio, it’s not always easy to choose one bottle or glass. Fortunately, Rosenblum offers a variety of tastings, including the The Reserve tasting, and the private tasting which requires an advance reservation.
Jack London Square is a vibrant gathering place with award-winning restaurants, artisanal shops, live music venues, and a farmers’ market. It’s located right on the Oakland waterfront, just steps from the ferry, the marina, BART, and bike paths. This is great news to more than half of Rosenblum Cellars’ wine club members who live in the East Bay area and now have a Rosenblum Cellars tasting room in their backyard.
