Medlock Ames Verjus Cocktail with Pomegranate Jewels

A gem of a cocktail, the Medlock Ames Verjus Cocktail shimmers with bubbles and pomegranate "jewels". The taste is well-balanced between the sweetness of cassis and the pleasant acid of the Verjus.

INGREDIENTS

1/2 ounce Medlock Ames Verjus*
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1/4 ounce Clear Creek cassis liquour
sparkling wine
pomegranate seeds

*Verjus is juice made from unripe grapes. Medlock Ames sells theirs on their website. The 2012 was made with hand-picked Cabernet Sauvignon grapes at version.

DIRECTIONS

Combine first three ingredients in a Champagne flute, float the sparkling wine on top and decorate with pomegranate "Jewels".
