Iris's Bread Pudding

Mmmm... Warm bread pudding is a comfort food that pairs beautifully with an aromatic dessert wine made with Riesling and Viognier.

Ingredients for the Bread Pudding:

6 cups milk
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
3 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups chopped bread
3 tablespoons butter, plus extra for greasing pan
3 tablespoons crushed pineapple
3 tablespoons raisins
4 tablespoons coconut  



Directions for the Bread Pudding:

Warm milk slightly.

Place eggs and sugar in a bowl and mix with a hand mixer until light yellow. Stir into milk slowly along with the vanilla.

Place bread into a buttered 9x13 baking pan. Pour milk over the bread so there is about 1 inch of milk on top. Mix in remaining ingredients. Dot with butter

Bake @ 325 for about 2 hours.
