There’s nothing quite like a wine country cookbook filled with tempting dishes, stunning photography, and easy-to-follow recipes to make us want to head straight for the kitchen.

Inspired by the bounty of California’s Santa Ynez Valley, Chef Robin Goldstein created Simply Delicious Wine Country Recipes, a collection focused on the pairing of fresh, flavorful seasonal ingredients with premium wines from Santa Barbara County. She offers an array of grapeinfused recipes including a sweet-savory Spanish grape tart to pair with white wine. Chef Robin’s notes and anecdotes add an extra dimension.

eat.drink. PASO! is the third offering from Paso Robles’ chef and winemaker, Lisa Pretty. Lisa presents 15 multicourse winemaker dinnerstyle menus featuring the wines and recipes of many Paso Robles winemakers and chefs. Recognizing the region’s emergence of craft beer, cider, and spirits, she includes a chapter of cocktail recipes.

Winemaker Brian Talley’s Our California Table: Celebrating the Seasons with the Talley Family inspires us with more than family recipes. The collectible book is a full account of the traditions of Talley Farms and the Talley family with approachable recipes— some old, some new. This is a great resource for pairing vegetables with wine.
