Kentucky

Home to America’s first commercial winery, today Kentucky’s wine industry blends history and heritage with modern wine-making practices and techniques. Though the state’s bourbon industry may receive most of the hype, Kentucky has certainly played an important hand in the history of wine in the U.S. In fact, Kentucky was home to the country’s first commercial vineyard. Visitors to "Bourbon Country" are often pleasantly surprised to find a number of vineyards tucked away in the picturesque settings of the state’s bluegrass countryside.
