Named to honor the passion of Eos, the Greek goddess of dawn, the winery Eos demonstrates an insatiable appetite for the production of great wines. Founded in the mid-1980s, Eos has built an enviable reputation for its portfolio of dense red, complex white, and luscious dessert wines.
Vintage after vintage, Eos wines are readily described as delicious and approachable. They are fruit forward, generous, accurate, and balanced. To continually achieve this goal, Eos sources a large portion of its fruit from Paso Robles vineyards, and then reaches further—as far as the Napa Valley and Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley for the proper fruit. Premier sites known for quality Old Vine Zinfandel and Petite Sirah throughout California often contribute fruit to satisfy the Eos passion.
In 2010, Vintner Bill Foley acquired Eos and instigated many positive changes to further improve the quality of Eos wines. Today, the Estate Tier offers some of the best value Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Zinfandel on the market.
Visitors to Paso Robles appreciate the accessibility of Eos Winery Hospitality Center, right off Highway 46 East. The expansive tasting room with high-beamed ceilings provides an ideal backdrop for sampling the wines. Guests can opt for one of a variety of tasting experiences: a Public Tasting of six wines served at the tasting room bar; a Private Tasting with a dedicated tasting attendant to guide them through a tasting of six wines; a Private Seated Tasting and Lunch offering a catered sandwich lunch with a series of six wines served in the banquet room; or a Private Seated Tasting and Buffet-style Lunch for groups of 20 or more. Both tastings involving lunch require advance reservations.
The Hospitality Center is also a popular venue for weddings and special events, with beautiful grounds, picturesque vineyard and rolling hillside views, and wines that stir a passion in all who love authentic, approachable wines.
